Microcement stairs

A staircase is a vital part of home which can aid the homeowners to get into the upper areas of the house. Stairs are designed to provide as easy and quick access to different floors. But aside from the functional purpose of a stairs, it also provides a powerful design element to the entire home. As it’s often the first thing people see when they walk through your front door, your staircase’s visual impact can reflect upon the entire property.  If you choose microcement stairs, you can be sure the effect will be stunning.

There are several different types of stairs to choose from when it comes to the design of your staircase. There are many kind of materials that can be used for making stairs. It could be timber, marble, steel and even concrete.

It may seem that there are endless possibilities for designing stairs. However, looking at them closer and taking into account the structural and architectural aspects, it turns out that in fact, the number of variable elements is small. We distinguish 9 types of stairs because of their support.

We skipped the construction of nosing, banister, balusters, handrails and railing. Handrails and railing are an important element of the stairs, however, in this article we have focused only on the structural elements (carriers) of the stairs themselves, which directly affect the architectural reception of the interior.

We decided on a basic division that takes into account two variables: whether they are between the steps of the wall and whether we have open / closed risers. The whole gave us 9 types of stairs, which we show below.

It is certainly possible to distinguish additional variables, but we think they are a margin of design for all stair constructions.
