Festfloor microcement in Madeira [summer house photos]
In June Festfloor gained another satisfied customer. This time from the Island of Madeira, Portugal!
Carolina applied 180m2 of microcement in during renovation of a summerhouse in Madeira. See how it all happened.
Carolina and her husband are real estate professionals in green Madeira. They search for houses and flats and renovate them, then sell them, mainly to foreign customers. They knew from the beginning that they wanted to use microcement for the floor and the bathroom. Although this material comes from the south of Europe, mainly from neighboring Spain and Italy, Carolina chose a Polish product. Searching the internet, she came across our site and our YouTube channel and she liked it so much that she did not hesitate to order 18 (!) Festfloor Go! kits + Festkontakt. After a week she could start working.
As she wrote on our Facebook group, she is not a professional microcement applier, she made microcement with her husband for the first time, and they learned the whole technique from video tutorials on our YouTube channel. The Portuguese couple reported on our group the progress of work, and finally – very proud – they boasted the final result. The photos we present below will be part of their company’s offer, and the holiday home itself will be soon on sale. It is worth about 250 thousand euro. Maybe someone is interested in buying? 🙂
Carolina used gray-sand microcement. It covered the floor in a spacious living room opened to the kitchen, in the hallway and in the bathroom. In turn, gray Festfloor Go! FF9002 decorates the wall in the shower (structural plaster). We love such designs and southern style – so different from the loft or Scandinavian interiors that have been dominating us for years. Here, furniture is Scandinavian – IKEA fits everywhere – but the entire interior is in a completely different style. Beige microcement (colored concrete) and additions of wicker and wood give it incredible coziness. Like the fireplace, which will warm up on cooler evenings. In addition, thanks to the large windows, the house is bathed in sunshine all day, and the nature almost comes inside. The view outside the window is amazing – a paradise garden full of lush vegetation, many species of flowers, beautiful cliffs and terrace fields.
