An elegant black bathroom with Festfloor microcement. Colors: GR6, FF6000-N [ photos ]
After a series of microcement stairs projects, we come back with photos of a beautiful, elegant bathroom in shades of black. The walls and part of the floor are covered with Festwall and Festfloor Go microcement.
Black bathroom: play with light and textures
White and black, playing with textures, a bit of gold, plants and microcement – this is a recipe for a unique interior from Aleksandra Knapińska from Yuka Studio, the author of this project.
Aleksandra told us more about this project and client’s expectations: “The client wanted an elegant interior, but without unnecessary splendor. The process of designing this bathroom was quite long, but in the end it was focused on reducing the color palette to a minimum and combining elegance with industrial motifs.
There is more play with structures and chiaroscuro than with colors. Finally, we have black in several ways: monochrome brick, microcement from the FestWall set in Basalt color, finished with satin varnish in a rather raw finish, so that when illuminated with LEDs or lamps, its texture can be seen. For this simple black furniture.
In contrast, we have a completely smooth white (walls, ceilings, ceramics) and a bit of wooden accents for warming (less visible in the photos, but there is a wall with a 240 cm long wood-like tile).
And in reference to the romantic shape of the bathtub, there is a patterned floor and a few golden elements in the form of fittings. “
Staying in such a bathroom is pure relaxation, and the dark interior is conducive to calming down and soothing the senses. Congratulations on a great project!
